Just beat the MK Story in MK vs DCU.

Next off... arcade mode. And meet the fatality/heroic brutality achievements. And the Kombo Challenge.

1. Mercs (PS2)
2. Darkstalkers 3 (PS1)
3. House Of The Dead Overkill (Wii)
4. Mega Man 3 (PS2)
5. Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters (PS2)
6. Halo 2600 (Atari 2600)
7. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (NES)
8. Castlevania Chronicles (PS1)

OMG. Y'know what? I loved Castlevania Chronicles. Big time. A lot of people I guess don't. But it's like this was THEE Castlevania game made for me. It's the 2D linear layout of the original NES games, but with amazingly detailed graphics and an incredible CD quality soundtrack.

It's funny -- I've been a fan of the Castlevania series since the first NES game. I had that trilogy, along with all the Game Boy releases. I've played my fair share of Castlevania, but this is the first time I've ever beat one. And this one actually made me want to beat it. Although there were parts I found very difficult (Clock Tower, Dracula himself, etc) nothing was ever unfairly hard. There was never that moment of "FUCK THIS GAME!" Y'know? It just was a good blend of challenge and fun.

I've heard that the Arrange Mode (which is what I played through) is a bit easier than the original game. But whatever. I don't talk about clouds on sunny days.

A little quick arcade action with the gal. She had never played Metal Slug before. I have been trying to explain to her why the graphics and artwork on Neo Geo games were so special. This seemed to be the one to demonstrate it with.

Anthology - the VC versions are priced WAY too high.
