True in a sense, but we know Goozex isn't gonna change because of this issue. They'd probably bite back in the end saying that noise will have to reimburse them for the initial shipping as well.

For me, I bought shoes are a local Journey's and had them shipped to my house since they were out in store. Paid $5 for 3-4 day shipping, but the item came a week later, a size too large and the wrong style (wanted white, got silver). I returned it to journeys and asked that they refund the shipping as well, as they did not deliver on their side of the sale, they said no.

My mind set on the issue is that 'time is money', and unless arguing with them and getting pissed for for a large amount of time is somehow going to net me $30 an hour, its not worth getting into. I already got enough troubles going on with my life, I can let small things slide

So you had to return the shoes at your own expense? They should have sent you a prepaid shipping label like what Amazon does. Then they should have sent you the correct size & style.

Nah, full story goes that after I received the box, I went to return it to the mall store (had business at the mall anyway). They didn't have my style/size in store, and if I wanted to get the correct shoes, I'd have to pay another $5 for a different shipment.

F' to that. They lost a customer for life. I'm plenty happy with my shoes from Zappos.com

Well, at something good happened from this whole Goozex odeal. All of us at Racketboy are less likely to do business with them. (^_^)

Wow. I'm not going to be popular for saying this... but noise (despite being a totally cool guy and great community member) isn't on the right side here. The reactionary Goozex hate is also disconcerting... I thought this community was more mature than that.

(1) Rules for "full package" at Goozex are very clear, and not based on the picture shown. If you have questions, which is totally reasonable, asking in the forums and/or checking the FAQ will help to quickly get an answer.

(2) Rules for how to get a dispute resolved are also very clear. When a dispute is opened, you have the option to work things out with a buyer on your own via PM. Usually this gives a chance for honest mistakes to be corrected... but if you can't come to an agreement then the next step is to escalate the dispute to Goozex. At this point you can request that the game be sent in for inspection; if the negative is upheld then Goozex will hold the game and return it to you for the cost of shipping.

Since it was your fault for sending something that didn't qualify as a full package, paying for return shipping (what... like $3?) is entirely reasonable. Sure it's an honest mistake, and some of the trading policies aren't immediately clear, but you still made incorrect assumptions before trading and wasted everyone's time. Why should Goozex or the buyer pay for your mistake?

Look at it from the other side. If you expected (correctly) to receive something and then only got half the package, you'd be upset too.

I'm disappointed to see how many uninformed negative comments popped up when only one side of the story was presented. Having been an active Goozex member for a couple of years and trading roughly 75 games in that time, it's been a great service (minor warts and all) for those people who learn to use it correctly. Unfortunately every couple of weeks there is someone who blames the system when a mistake is made instead of accepting responsibility and admitting fault.

I do agree that customer support is slow though. Everything at Goozex moves slowly in fact, but it does move exactly as it's supposed to.

And just want to clarify again, noise is a great guy and I totally don't blame him for being upset and just wanting his game shipped back. The image/description definitely could totally be misleading if that's all you looked at... unfortunately ignorance about the site policies (even with misleading images) isn't enough of an excuse to break them.

I also think the negative feedback is kind of BS in this case, and that it should be neutral... but obviously I'm not the guy who feels like he's been cheated out of a dance pad.

My post is more a reaction to the Racketboy community outright dismissing (what I feel is) an excellent resource for trading new and retro games based on (what I think is) a severe and misinformed overreaction.

The post wasn't meant to be directed at you, except for the parts where I said you are a good guy.

BTW, if it's any indication of Goozex normally being a great source for games, I already admitted in another thread to being a sell-out and using them again.
