Well this game surely has taken its time coming (it was supposed to be a 2006 release). With purportedly 5 hours of footage this throwback to the days of FMV gaming should prove interesting. Let's hope it makes Q1!

I LOVE fmv games ,
I am not sure why a lot of people hate it,
its as real as it gets, no matter how 3D and realistic graphics will be , it won't be like video.

I really think its engaging and keeps you connected, its like taking a part in a movie, especially when the actors are talking to you directly.

I know a lot of developers miss used it, and made some games full of cheesy talk and actions, but those who got it right like Red Alert and Need for Speed , its really amazing.

What other FMV games do you people recommend ?

Neat. I'm partial to FMV games myself. If you like Star Trek, Borg and Klingon are both pretty good games that are often overlooked. Cheesy as hell, but that goes without saying for an FMV game. Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within is probably the finest FMV game ever made, and it still feels like something out of MST3K.

Edit: I came across some amusing reviews of Star Trek: Borg and Klingon. There are spoilers.

Ever since it was released I've been eyeing this one. I still haven't picked it up yet. I was going to wait for a digital download release (which I guess they have now), then I heard it was 44 GB, and then I heard that was a lie, and now I don't know what to think. It's still high on my wishlist of games to buy though.

Gabriel Knight II
Missing: Since January
Tex Murphy: Under a Killing Moon

I also really enjoyed the Phantasmagoria games, though I can see why people hate them too.

GKI was better, but it's not an FMV game. GKII is as good as FMV games get, but it's still not as great as GKI.

Personally, I read that review and it's exactly what I'm looking for. I'm gonna play it on an HDTV with an arcade trackball. It's going to be awesome. I was tempted to get that "Captain's Box", but the books are just pdfs, so meh.
