Re: Ever had a friend that "made it big?"
when i was younger, i used to play with a kid that lived two houses up from my grandparents every summer who later went on to become the starting center for the NE Patriots, Danny Koppen.

Went to college with two members of The Arctic Monkeys. Alex Turner is and always was a massive dipshit. Just one of those cocky dickfarts that thought they owned the place.

anybody here like haste the day? i know all of those guys. at least, the original lineup.
i don't really care though. that's about the biggest "big" connection i have, i guess, and it's flimsy at best. i'm happy with my humble, modest group of friends.

from what i recall he was. (i don't think we played dodgeball in HS) he was also more thinner back then. him and brandon was in the same HS basketball team (1998) and they almost made it to the finals. that was a very exciting senior year.final fight cd wrote:these don't count. everybody in CA is famous.sevin0seven wrote:my former classmates in High School in PE:

Re: Ever had a friend that "made it big?"
A friend of mine is in the moderately successful indie rock band The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart. We played in a band together in New Orleans. I read Pitchfork, so her success probably seems bigger than it is.
My girlfriend would be better at answering this question, she moved all around the country in her 20's and met lots of interesting people. For example, she dated the main guy in Entourage (Adrian Grenier; thank you, Wikipedia).
