What does semi-permanent mean here? When I was informed about this, it meant that you had to keep your PSP in suspend mode instead of turned off. I have long periods where I don't use my PSP at all, and depending on the level of sophistication of booting the exploit I would probably forget how to do it from one time to the next.

you can turn it off, you just don't want to hard-reset it (holding down the power-off switch for 3 seconds or whatever). I shut mine off all the time though. But if you DO hard reset, all you need to do is run the HEN eboot again. It takes like 5-10 seconds and it's done again.

Haha, glad to see you chiming in on these threads now

Still, any issues that you've ran into with the latest TN's? Apparently TN-HEN D will finally include built in PS1 support and booting ISOs from dash.

Also, my two-cents, buy a PSPgo (saw them at gamestop used for $99). If all you are going to do is mod it with a HEN, why not?
If you aren't having a good time, why are you playing?

you taught me well! :)

every homebrew I've ran on TN HEN-C has worked great. The only thing I've had no luck with is any of the GBA emulators. They all boot up, but then when I try the ROM they crash. I've read all the tutorials about putting the right BIOS in the right folder, etc. No luck. I've heard rumors that this has to do with the SLIM and the fact that most of the GBA emu's were built on 1.50 Phats.

Have YOU had any luck with a GBA emulator?????????????

That being said, I've been checking PSP-sites DAILY since TN HEN-D was announced. The added PS1 support is what I really really want.

personally I love collecting UMD's. But I know I'm unusual.

I run the GBA emulator just fine on my PSP 2000. I'm using the gbaspkai or something like that. I'm also running M33-6.

I'm using uo_gpsp_kai_3_4_test_1_build_2. I uploaded it to here for you:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KMMAJIOK

Extract the rar and put it into <memstick>\psp\game\<name of folder> directory
You also need to put a GBA bios (not included) in that directory. I also have a directory inside named GBA\rom where I put my roms. Then fire it up. You might see some output messages but eventually, you should see your rom output. One of the output messages I got was "this bios is not regular" but it all still works.

I must be a huge noob asking this but, won't just "turning it off" without holding it for 3 seconds leave it on suspend mode and it will be draining battery?

If so then I'm the noob and it's news to me. I just know that this is how I always turn my PSP off.
