I know PC is usually the route for most games where the option is given, but what makes it the best? I was thinking of grabbing it from GOG, but also considering the GC version.

.. i know that NBA Street V3 for the gamecube is better than the PS2 or the Xbox simply because you can play as Mario, Luigi and Peach :P

Answer seems to be no for the most part (so far) :)

I for one prefer San Andreas on the ps2 only because of the of the stupid little white/black buttons on the oXbox cntroller. Other then that the Xbox version is better in every way.

I have always thought the oXbox was the better choice but i never remembered it being THIS much better .. wow.

Edit: for fun i just tried Psychonauts on the PS2.. wow the frame rate really sucks. Anyone know if Metal Arms tears as bad as it does on the oXbox.. on the PS2?

I have the PC and PS2 versions. The PC one has much better looking graphics. I'm not sure if there are other differences, but it definitely looks better on a PC. In fact, the upcoming HD re-release of the game on PS3 & 360 looks almost identical to the PC version.

What about in terms of controls? I know it's a Zelda-style game, so I don't know how well that works on a PC (I avoided Dead Rising and Devil May Cry because of that).

Is the PS2 version of BG&E really the best one? I thought the GC one was, or at least it was the leading development platform anyway. Hell, I should just buy all versions. It IS one of my favorite games of all time after all

From what i have read. The Xbox version has slightly prettier graphics and slightly shorter load times. The Gamecube version is a small step down, and the PS2 version is a small step down from that.

The music being inferior in the GC version also comes up a lot. Not sure if there is any truth to it. Could be because the cube discs don't hold a lot of data.

I would say that the Gamecube got the best version, but then again, I am clearly biased. I have herd that it has better load times, equal-quality audio, and just runs better overall. I will always remember it as a Gamecube game.
