Burning ISO with MP3 audio tracks.

I've downloaded a few saturn isos from coolrom.com and the audio tracks appear to be in mp3 format. These will need converting to wav format won't they?

I'm gonna have a blast at seeing if i can get some recorded. I'm currently using the swap method and the backups i have appear to be different region to this saturn. Nethertheless i'm gonna try and get these files converted to wav and burn em. If it works i'll put a tut up for burning cd images with mp3 audio tracks if you would like?

Btw when my saturn says that the disc is not suitable for this system it means the disc is not the correct region right?

yea you need to convert them to wav. Whenever it says my disc is not suitable is usually means that I forgot to convert the region.

Nero will do the audio conversion for you.

And yes, you will need to change the region

Yeah i managed to get them working after changing the region and reburning them. The games already came in north american region so i've had to re-copy em.

I've tried to get nero to burn them and it just says there's an error in the cue sheet. I've checked that all the tracks are named correctly. It just won't load the cue sheet.

Right i've sorted that particular issue out. It didn't like file names with spaces in them at all. Sorted that now, Nero will burn them.

When i go to play them in the saturn it just won't load them. Goes straight to the audio player.

The swap trick won't work (still don't have that chip installed!). When the saturn goes to read the TOC it doesn't spin the disc at full speed so i can't swap the disc as the laser never moves to the outer rim to read the copy protection data of the official cd. It doesn't even say that the disc is unsuitable. It plays it as an audio cd....

Have you mastered the swap yet?
Is it possible you aren't doing it right?

I've mastered the swap. I have a few backups that are working perfectly. Dracula X/MSHVSSF/RadientSilvergun all work perfectly with swap trick 100% now. The swap trick is easy.

I don't know what's wrong with the games i've downloaded. Can't seem to get any of them working!

Right the ones i've tried so far are Bug and Metal Slug from Coolroms.net. They small files less than 100mb each i think. So if you could download one and see if you can get it running that would be great!

I've tried them both with cassini and can't get em to run.

I'm also having trouble with Panzer Dragoon Saga first disc. It loads the intro movie then goes straight back into the dash when it finishes
