That's what you think Obama!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

That's what you think Obama!

Post by HeavyMetalMe »

So, while watching some MSNBC last night covering Obama's speech (well, you could have also caught it on CNN and Fox News) he actually made a comment about "Putting the video games away". Yep, that's right, Obama doesn't like video games. He's a- dare I say- "hater".

Is this who you guys want to be president?

I don't want this dingle berry as my president... but that metaphor is not the reason why.

The only people I really liked are pretty much out of the running.
At this point I'll just be glad if Hillary doesn't become president.

(BTW, do you think Hillary or John McCain are big gaming fans?)

At least they don't say it on national television! It's a slap in the face to the gaming community.

(PS This is indeed all in good fun).

(PSS I really don't like Obama. Ron Paul all the way [I'm a dreamer])

Hillary has actually said a number of things about the whole video games and violence thing.

Probably not the popular opinion here, but I honestly don't give a damn what he thinks about video games, as long as he can run the country properly. Now if he starts PERSECUTING the gaming hobby, like certain politicians do, then I'll have a problem. Honestly though, a president should have more important things to worry about than video games

I haven't really followed this election. I'm not into politics as little seems to really change from one president to the next. However, Bush has been an absolutely horrible president in my opinion. I'll take anyone over him

Am I the only one who finds it interesting that history would be made if either Hillary or Obama wins. First woman or first black man in office. Would be a sign that times are changing.

All the candidates are the typical trash we get every 4 years, but at least most of them can speak properly. At this point, all I want is a competent human being to represent this land, and stop fucking embarrassing us over the airwaves.

I'm not a big fan of Obama, but I have to ask: was he saying that kids and young people need to get off the couch and do other things as well or was he saying video games are inherently bad? People young and old people DO need to get out and be more active and improve their general health. We are a nation of fat, unhealthy slobs. There's nothing wrong with encouraging people to engage in a multitude of activities of all types.

If he was generally slamming video games as a wholly negative influence in our society, he can kiss my ass.

I personally think that the Republican party needs to return to its belief that there should be no government interference in anything.

Government works best when it does nothing.
