any gear heads in the house?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

any gear heads in the house?

Post by mrgoodbytes »

so anyone else big into modifying/building-up their car?

sorry, its my other big hobby.

I have a 99 mercury cougar project car. I've owned it since new and have been working on it ever since the warrenty ran out. Its definitely a fun car to work on because theres no formal aftermarket, so everything is more or less custom or one off, definitely no easy button.

My car is already fast enough. But I am considering ripping out the engine and replacing it with 550bhp 6.0l supercharged v8, but that will have to wait another couple of years(damn I hate being a grown-up) first I'll have to put better brakes on it .

I was wondering how long it would take for Scooter to drop his Geocities links in here. :P

I love my vehicles, and love working on them (as long as the bolts aren't rusted). Mrgoodbytes, my Wife had to give up her '01 C2 Cougar for a 4-door (baby girl needs her room too)! I have a bunch of random front and a few rear suspension parts, and other sensors left I need to sell on Ebay. If you need something, let me know and I'll see if I have it/if it's compatable. I take it you're a member of http://www.newcougar.org/ ?

I read "gearhead", and like usual I interpreted it as rivethead.

Yup. Love cars.
I modified an E30 M3 and 325is. I love those cars (damn shame they're sitting in a garage now).
My favorite unmodified car would be the Z3 3.0. Like driving a video game with the steptronic shifter~ :D
