The Atomiswave is an arcade system… I say system because it is not just an arcade board that plays one game… Its an arcade system that has a library of games… not just any games either real kick ass ones… Before i get into some of the titles for this thing lets talk about when it was released and the specs it has….
Thats five ellipses in a paragraph. I was just curious, I know I over use them aswell.
lol i got ya.... im not really a writer... just trying to share some information and opionions with people who care... i apologize for my grammar... my upcoming articles will be more proofed for sure.... Thanks man!
Dude, you dont have to have "...." instead of just a period. It makes everything look like an run on sentence. It's not about having good grammar (I know I don't) but its called making your sentences look complete. Capitalization would be awesome too!

You have made a cool looking site. I just think you need to make those small adjustments to make it easier to read and understand.

Awesome to see you're doing this. You are a wealth of knowledge and it will be nice to have it in such a readable format.

The design looks fine although not especially 'video gamey'; presumably it is a lightly modified template. It's a small turn off to me that even in its infant state, you have a big ad box on a hobby website. I doubt Google grants others the right to reproduce their pacman game, but I could be wrong. The short domain is snazzy but at the same time utterly generic.

There are two poles that every blogger will find himself somewhere between. Those that really take to the technical minutia will work out the details of the design, the javascript, the CMS, the logging, the ads, and they they'll fill out a couple sample articles and lorem ipsum the rest. The other extreme are those that sign up at blogspot and start typing away. I think it's OK you have the site live now but I would wait for heavy promotion until it is much more fleshed out. I would also seriously consider scoping-down your motto "All Video Games - Your home for everything gaming..."

wow man!!!! thanks alot for this information.... im def not the type to grab articles premade... you could tell from my grammar i wrote those up myself... maybe in the future i could have you guys write up some articles for the site and give you admin access to the cms... def an idea i just came up with... my tag line def sucks as i have no clue what to put... maybe i should just remove it entirely until i decide something better... what are your thought on what it should be? I own 80+ systems and hundreds of games i want to spread the information.... thats all the site is made for... as far as the pacman widget.. im going to leave it as i think its pretty cool.. as you are correct about the google ad perhaps being added to early and i will remove it for the time being until hopefully i drive more traffic to the site..

i will also work on making the design more video game themed... do u have any suggestions on that? thanks man!

Yo Terry,

I didn't think you cribbed the articles. What I meant was many looked like place holders. And 'lorem ipsum' is a term used for generic filler text, the content itself being gibberish, used for testing layouts or typefaces.

If the zone you're in now is writing about your collection, that's cool [*], so I'd personalize it more. "All Video Games - Your home for everything gaming..." sounds like I could read your site for the latest MMORPG beta news, what's going down with import PSP RPGs and some interviews with old 2600 developers. "Terry's videogame reflections" turns the focus back on you - the main asset of the site - and not the visitor as some cheesy post-dot-bomb catchall media hub would do.

[* though really, you know such blogs are countless, yes? I mean, SOME kind of hook would only help. Maybe your strength is this weird arcade stuff and that's what you could play up?]

About customizing the template, well, just thinking out loud, but do you have a favorite video game or series? Maybe grab some sprites via emulation or other sources and work those in to the design. I like that the basic design is light on dark, keep that. I'd get rid of the sidebar element 'menu', delete the mission statement sidebar after you think up a better motto, move the blogroll from the bottom to the sidebar, move the motto to the right of the site title so your entries are closer to your 'three feature' top links, get rid of the 'home' link on the top blue menu (video game geeks already know your top left logo takes you home), think of a more creative way to capture your photos or just find a nice white sheet so I don't see so much wood flooring on the home page. :D

Great site, I'll be checking it for updates. Be sure to check out my not-so-great import-laden blog.
