100 Years of Naval Aviation Show Feb 12 2011

A year long celebration, the Air Show is kicking off here locally. The birthplace on Naval Aviation. Been seeing vintage planes flying over the past week.

Chinese New Year celebration also happening with a Dragon and lots of good food this weekend. Because of traffic mess, I think I'll watch the Air Show from my house and go eat mass quantities of stir fry on Sunday

There was a line of cars all the way across the bridge and backed up to both North and South on ramps. I ended up taking my boat out in the bay to avoid the crowds. Only disappointment is not seeing the static aircraft display up close. But watching from the water offered a great vantage point while kicking back.

Military Air Cushion Ship, can "fly on land", I think one needs a pilots license. Now that is a big boat!

I wish I could have been there. My two most interesting deployments were the ones where I was aboard an aviation platform.
