Re: dsheinem's collection: 2011 EDITION| STAGE 1: Pre 8-Bit

I had a Tandy growing up, and we used to get some Tandy enthusiast magazine every month. Same deal as the TI-99, where it would give you pages of code to enter and then boom! You had a new program. Such a great idea back then. And so much more rewarding than a disc of freeware. I remember firing things up and being like "oh shit! I MADE that!" haha.

Always loved the nes style 7800 controllers....makes me wish the 7800 had more games in its actual library...!

the Duo-R is amazing. And I must say the CDX is one of the few consoles that I think if I ever saw cheap enough, and had extra space, I would want to own.

The CDX is high on the list of my all time favorite consoles, and it was a dream of mine to own one when I was a kid. When I finally picked one up 4 or 5 years ago I couldn't get over how cool, compact, and well designed that little device was - I have even used it as a portable CD player a few times for fun :) I only wish that it somehow had a 32X built in as well

Imagine if the PCE/CD combo came is something so small

Is the CDX loud? lol

In fact, how loud are all the Sega CD variants? Then again I've got two Saturn's and they're fine. But that Dreamcast, haha wow... loudest system ever.
