So I've had my HRAP3 since the week SFIV came out and the stock joystick has gone to shit along with the buttons which i already replaced with Sanwa buttons.

So im looking for a easy replacement for it and so far my research has led me to this:
http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-JLF-TP- ... p_260.html

also would another possible solution be replacing or adding another JLF spring?

anyone with arcade stick moding experience have any other suggestions?

You could try the forums on shoryuken.com as well. Those guys are pretty hardcore over there and extremely knowledgeable.

A replacement spring may help, maybe even use something from Home Depot.

Try this SKU: 471-864 Only $3.98

Hope it works out. Maybe a pic or two of the insides of the completed repair job?

ok i just finished the spring replacement and i gotta say it was extremely easy and was pretty straight forward to a novice like myself

this is the opened stick, i took off the e-plate on the bottom of the joystick to access the spring

next i moved the clear gate on the stick, i dont think i had too but i did anyway.

Image
note* the ink stain, my pen busted on me right before i started.

next i fit the smaller LS-32 spring into the default one. put it back together and now the stick feels much much more "tight" :)

i also said "fuck it" and changed the ball top to blue!

Looks great! Did you use a Home Depot Spring? Link or SKU of the parts bought?

What happened to the L1 and L2 buttons? An easy fix.

Thanks

Nope i just went ahead and ordered a Seimitsu LS-32 spring from lizardlick it was cheap enough
http://www.lizardlick.com/Seimitsu-LS-3 ... p_421.html

along with this blue 53mm sanwa ball top since i wanted all blue
http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-LB-35-B ... p_282.html

the buttons were from there as well
http://www.lizardlick.com/Sanwa-OBSF-30 ... p_343.html

and the L1 and L2 buttons were taken out and replaced with those black plugs. since i play mostly street fighter or capcom fighters in general most of them use the 6 button layout so i plugged the last two buttons to stop me from hitting them on accident during a match.
