how about sending the user to the last page of the thread instead of the first page when clicking on the topic links on the homepage.
if you took a shit, please put it back

Well, that might be tricky. There could be 3 pages of talk since you last looked. If you're not staying logged in, it has no way to know where you last read. It still perplexes me why people don't just go to the forum list, click the 'read first unread post' on things, then when done with everything that interests them, mark all as read and go to the next section.

Agree with Hobie. At first I too was thinking links should be the latest page. But the Front Home Page is mainly hit by new visitors, its good to link to the first page of a given Active Post.

Another way is to have Forum Active Posts directly bookmarked to see all the Newest Posts even if one misses a few days. Once in a while I visit the Front Home page to see of any latest published articles.

I think we should have a new rule: misspelled or grammatically incorrect topics will automatically be deleted....
