PS2 SATA HDD adapters
Re: PS2 SATA HDD adapters
I didn't know this existed! Looks like it will work with HDAdvance 3.0.
Thanks, I added this info to the PS2 HARD DRIVE HDAdvance/HDLoader Guide

Oh wow. Not something I would have expected an upgraded knockoff of.

That's pretty cool. I doubt there could be any speed improvements, but it's a big deal as far as getting a hard drive goes. PATA drives are getting annoying to buy, SATA drives are super cheap now.

Don't buy, it doesn't have the network connection so you can't FTP or LAN

That's true but you can get by without using the network connection by using WinHiip.jinn wrote:Don't buy, it doesn't have the network connection so you can't FTP or LAN

What? Looks like it has one in the pics. That yellow sticker is covering it (the yellow sticker is a warning not to try and plug a phone line into it).gtmtnbiker wrote:That's true but you can get by without using the network connection by using WinHiip.jinn wrote:Don't buy, it doesn't have the network connection so you can't FTP or LAN
PS: having to take the HDD out of the PS2 every time you wanna put some thing on it sucks.

Re: PS2 SATA HDD adapters
I don't take it out that often (4-5 times per year?). I also have a USB<->IDE cable that I use to easily hook it up to the PC.Ziggy587 wrote: PS: having to take the HDD out of the PS2 every time you wanna put some thing on it sucks.
The PS2 network connection is so slow that I can't be bothered to use it.

What's that on the PCB though? Maybe one can be added. You know how some times they "forget" to put additional hardware on?
Meh. I wasn't happy with the speeds either, but got used to it. What's this about a USB-IDE cable? Can you use it with WinHiip or HDL Dumb?gtmtnbiker wrote:I don't take it out that often (4-5 times per year?). I also have a USB<->IDE cable that I use to easily hook it up to the PC.
