Consider yourself fortunate then. They're clunky, feel cheaply made, and like everyone else said, the shoulder buttons aren't good at all. Even if you like the "Duke", the 1st gen US Saturn pad sucks~ :roll:

I would never go so far as to say they suck. Because they really don't.

OK~ That's fine you think so but your retort lacks reasoning.
If a game uses shoulder buttons and the controller is not as responsive as it should be but, with the JP pad or US 2nd gen does play normally, isn't that the very definition of a controller that sucks or is in essence flawed?

logically speaking

unresponsive buttons
buttons need to be used
the triggers react as though they are broken
----------------------------------------------------
the controller is flawed or broken, if you need to use the buttons and can't
