Did anyone watch UFC 126?

Post by jfrost »

I watch UFC casually, but Anderson Silva's knocking out of Vitor Belfort was awesome. A friggin' kick in the face.

Obviously haters are still hating, saying he won't beat Georges St-Pierre... Anyway.

His nickname around here has been changed to Anderson "Dhalsim" Silva:

For those who didn't watch:

I am not a sports person but I was hanging out with friends and they had it on. Admittedly that was a pretty amazing end to the fight.

My brother DVRd it, so we plan on getting together to watch The Spider lay down his samurai slices.

I watched the fights at the bar but the satellite was down for the first 45 mins so everyone was getting pretty rowdy.
Overall it was a decent PPV.

I loved UFC 126. The only disappointment for me was seeing KID Yamamoto get dominated on the Facebook prelim. Also, I was drunk when they announced that Jon Jones was getting a title shot, and I was VERY confused as to what was going on until I read the news sites the next morning.

I'm a big fan of MMA so a few buddies and I watched UFC 126 at the bar. I'm actually a big Vitor Belfort fan (he's my second favorite middleweight after Wanderlei Silva) so I was pretty pissed when Silva knocked him out in the 1st. I'll be the first to tell you I'm not a fan of Anderson Silva at all.

Jon Jones proved he is the real deal after he manhandled Ryan Bader like that. Can't wait for UFC 128 when Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (who is my favorite fighter, absolutely love the man) gets to fight Jon Jones for the Light Heavyweight title March 19th.

It was good...The Prelims shined like always...Cerrone v. Kelly was nuts. Jon Jones is a beast and Anderson Silva proved he is the best fighter in the world right now. That kick was amazing!

Yup, watched it on a giant projection screen at a sports bar with some friends. I don't even give a crap about MMA. That kick was something else, though.

When George gets 13 straight wins with 8 tittle defenses, moves up a weight class and dominates a couple legit fighters and actually finishes some fights in dramatic fashion then He can be called the best, until then he's number 2....still respectable.
