Its mocking the ranking system in multiplayer because every time you would rank up, they would show it and play some music. I don't think its hypocritical because in Bulletstorm its the way you make the kill compared to Call of Duty where you just kill. When they showed the story points like the fellow soldier getting ran over or the enemy parachuting in and you can't shoot them. Those were on point. As far as leaderboards for Bulletstorm, yes there is.

I love the modern warfare Cod games, but this is hilarious and pretty true in a lot of ways.

Particularly the cut scenes bit.

That one is pretty true, but what do you want them to do? Have a squeaky voiced guy for the villain? :D
