I wouldn't say that was "too soon" as much as simply not funny.

To be honest, I'm shocked. Apparently, there is not one person on this entire forum with a healthy sense of humor. In case none of you attended psychology class, humor is a defense mechanism. Laughing about something awful that happened is the only way we can actually cope with it. You may have noticed that in many countries in the far east, people laugh when something embarrassing happens to them.
