and/or vise versa.

Somebody tell me how to do this/do it for me/show me someone who already has done it.

That's pretty funny. But I think if you put a SNES inside a Genesis, or vice versa, the results could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worse case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to merely our own galaxy.

Bacteria comes to mind, this sort of thing is right up his alley.

If you're looking to fit a SNES in a Genesis casing, a model 2 (aka SNES mini) would probably be best to work with. It is quite small, the entire innards is just one PCB with everything mounted on it. It might fit easily inside a model 2 Genesis. Of course, you'll have to rearrange the cart slot, power and reset buttons, and you'll probably have to remove the SNES controller ports as well (unless you can mount the entire PCB inside the Genesis case in such a way that the controller ports conveniently are in the desired position). Same goes for the rear AV out and power plug.

You should just duct tape the two together.

Wouldn't be hard, motherboards are roughly similar size as I recall. Ports are different for the controllers but the connector plugs could be adapted if needed. Only actual difference would be the game carts are wider for SNES and so is the game port; would just mean some cutting to the cart hole. The game ports would need relocation to be in the right position, too.

Other option would be something easier, like putting both systems into an Intellivision console casing, or NES console casing, for example; with holes cut into the case for both ports.

A full sized SNES board should fit fine in a MegaDrive 1 casing for sure.
