Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.
I haven't heard too much BAD about this game, but not many people I know even know what I'm talking about. I played a bit of the first one years ago, but Picked it up for PC, loved the hell out of it until I got to one part and got stuck. Ended up picking it up for xbox as well, finished it. The story absolutely wowed me. Great visuals, great music, kinda hated the combat a bit (not much in the game anyways) But everything in the game was interesting to me, and made me fall in love with it.
If you can find it cheap for xbox, just pick it up. Either that or I think they actually put it on XBL as an xbox original game. Seriously, play this game somehow.

What are you talking about? Everyone I know who played that game absolutely loved it, including myself! It was a groundbreaking title for Point-and-Click adventure games, and the transition to the Xbox was done elegantly and with intuitive controls. It was just too short of a game! I wish a sequel would come soon. That ending was just begging for a sequel.

I know there are a few of you who liked it but all of the hate Metroid Other M got surprised me. I heard all of the complaints about the monologues and cut scenes but when I played through the game I found Samus's emotions and relationship with Adam to be perfectly understandable and not the ravishing of the franchise I heard many claim it to be. The gameplay was a lot of fun as well. I thought it was a good game but still no Metroid Prime on Wii.
I also am a big fan of Mega Man 6. This one is based more off of nostalgia though. Growing up the only original Mega Man game my brothers and I played was 6. We played the game over and over and unlocked all of the secrets on our own. Having played 2 I'll admit it pales in comparison and the bosses are odd but its still solid Mega Man gameplay.

Dreamfall was horrible compared to the longest journey. Plus the 3 new characters were overkill. Zoe was barely likable, and I don't even remember the guy's name. On the other hand April <3

I loved both personally. I would agree that TLJ was better though.

I loved the story and setting of Dreamfall, but the gameplay was non-existent and the extra characters such a letdown after April, who is one of the best written game characters of all time.
Oh and The Longest Journey subtly tackled child abuse and did so in a meaningful tasteful way (related to this topic here http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=28233&start=0)

I thoroughly enjoyed "playing" Plumbers Don't Wear Ties via Youtube. It was a laugh riot.

I'm with you on this. I think most people who complained also were upset that Metroid Fusion had Samus monologing a bit during some of the cutscenes.

I agree with both. Well I don't love either, but I like them both a lot.
However, I do absolutely love Nightmare On Elm Street (NES). I've talked about it on here a million times, and will defend it as much as I have to. It's not only one of my favorite NES games ever... it's one of my favorite games ever.
These 2 games are my choices. I loved them both when they first came out and played them quite a bit. 4 player on Nightmare of Elm Street was so much fun.
