Agree, a big NO. Bandwith is already tight at certain times of the day. Look at any forum that is full of YouTube embedding and animated gif signatures and see if you don't reset the browser in slow load frustration.

Simply add a pic or YouTube icon to your link.

FYI: Youtube embedding shouldn't use much bandwidth at all unless you start playing the video manually.

Maybe the embedded video links alone killing the page loads? My Retro iMac hates forum pages that are full of them and that's not even clicking the links.

The large majority of loading with the embedded videos comes when you press the play button.

Also, is there a chance there could be a Support forum? Whenever people have problems with the site, it seems weird to have to post it in the Off-Topic forum.

All the bandwidth comes from Youtube's servers. There is absolutely no negative affect on Racketboy's servers. Even the client is hosted on Youtube's servers.

I am going to implement some of the suggestions in this thread. However I've been absolutely busy as hell in real life, so I've not been on the forum as much as I would like at all. Having a promotion at work is great for the pocket, but not for spare time. As soon as I get enough free time (which will most likely be Sunday or Monday at this rate) I'll get to work.
