I got 2 hours of sleep last night. With a hard freeze coming on, I have a sinking feeling that the shingle is going to be there for a few days.
The 30 mile an hour gusts of wind reached me around 6:30. I had forgotten to roll up my window shade on the patio so that was slinging around and I had to wrestle it down in the wind and rain though it might be ruined. I guess I was lucky and got a few more hours sleep than you did.

I have 2 items that tracking say were delivered to me yesterday, but they weren't. :(

Got word back from the apartment complex office. They are not sending anyone up on a ladder until the wind dies down... which will probably be the end of the week.

ticked: Was more or less forced into a no call no show at work because my ride never showed up, I have no money for a cab, I have no phone to call in, and it's WAY too far away to walk. I'll just have to figure out how to explain this when I get up there.

Not sure why you don't have a phone. At the very least, you can pick up a Tracfone. Not calling in and not having a reliable ride doesn't help with your job status.

I do have a tracphone, it's needed to be re-activated for the past week or so though. I was planning to do that tomorrow when I get paid.

My ride will probably get a mouthful when/if I see them again tonight.

Ok, but you should at least call in and not just show up. Couldn't you ask a neighbor to use their phone? Or find a payphone (do they exist anymore? :D ) but you shouldn't just not show up. That's bad.
