Re: Best Star Wars Movie
You know what, I rented The Clone Wars once plenty of years ago (2003 or 4 can't remember) and I was watching it late at night, so I didn't remember why everyone hated it so much. The only thing that stuck on me was the finale, which was ok (yoda fighting. cool).
But then, the other day I saw this trailer on youtube:

OMG. First half, is like they remade the notebook (most overrated romantic film of all time, and me and the ex used to love watching love films together) with strange hair styles, and second half is sooooo emo.
*insert super annoying kid voice*
"It's obi-wans fault he's holding me back"
"I should be stronger"

A lot of people thought it was good when it was new, it was later that the majority of people started to dislike it.Limewater wrote:My point was that the the theater experience shouldn't be enough to save an absolutely horrible film.GSZX1337 wrote:What does that have to do with seeing a Star Wars movie in the theater for the first time?Limewater wrote: I saw Avatar, Snow Falling on Cedars, and freaking Pearl Harbor in theaters. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Yeah, I know it's a game, but I was more drawn into its story and events than any of the movies

Really? I'm not doubting you or anything. I guess I'm just surprised. Maybe I shouldn't be. I was rather displeased when I left the theater. Really, I was strongly displeased as soon as it was revealed that Anakin built C3PO.BoringSupreez wrote: A lot of people thought it was good when it was new, it was later that the majority of people started to dislike it.
It was better than Attack of the Clones, though. And Pearl Harbor and Avatar. And probably V for Vendetta.

While I do believe that Episode I was the better of the 3 prequel films, I have insane doubts about the idea that "most people liked it" when it was new. I recall pretty well that feelings ranged from mixed to absolute hatred.BoringSupreez wrote:A lot of people thought it was good when it was new, it was later that the majority of people started to dislike it.Limewater wrote:My point was that the the theater experience shouldn't be enough to save an absolutely horrible film.GSZX1337 wrote: What does that have to do with seeing a Star Wars movie in the theater for the first time?![]()
Re: Best Star Wars Movie
I never knew that people didnt like it, I thought it was the best out the new trilogy. The fight with General Grevious was cool and so was the fight with Yoda and Count Daku. It also had more about Boba Fett than any other film.
Anyways, Empire is the best out of all of them - the battle for hoth, yoda, lukes training, Vader takes more control, the chase thru the astoriod field, and so and so on. I like the mood that Empire has, it feels darker and grittier than any of the others

I never felt that Empire was a 'darker' film so much as it was simply a more mature one.Curlypaul wrote:I never knew that people didnt like it, I thought it was the best out the new trilogy. Star Wars/A New Hope, Empire, and KOTOR are the best things the franchise has to offer. I only put up with the rest because of how much I love the first two films.

Re: Best Star Wars Movie
I just wish they would stop with the damn Clone Wars already. Yeah, it's great animation but they already made an animated series that filled the gaps between Episodes 2 & 3. Enough already, it's just overkill IMO. I do hope they're still working on that TV series that fills the gap between 3 & 4 though.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

They are never, and I repeat, never going to stop milking the Star Wars franchise.Evildeadmanwalking77 wrote:I just wish they would stop with the damn Clone Wars already.
