was thinking of trying Athena next.

That video introduced some moves to me that I didn't even know existed. I really had no idea what the difference between the modes was.

I think I might be building a PS2 "chuck taylor shoebox" arcade stick for this (so I don't have to go and build a box before the end of this snowy month). I've always hated the ps2 for fighting games. I'll definitely be using my Agetec for DM 99 comparison.

Damn, another reason for me to pick up a Dreamcast again. I'd get it for PS2 but I've been playing SFII on Capcom Classics Collection on that and determined that the PS2 controller is horrible for fighters. I remember the Dreamcast controller D-Pad being one of my favorites. I've only ever played KOF94 and loved it and had been planning on getting this one eventually regardless.

you just need to get one of these for PS2 like I did:

they're very common on eBay, etc for under $20 shipped.

yeah no shit! They come in several versions too... Ken, Ryu, etc. Very cool collectible, plus will come in handy for the masses of great 2D Fighters on the PS2. I see it as $ well spent.
