Since we discussed what video game movies we like....
Going off of Racketboy's cool topic, I thought I'd make one about what kind of games you seriously think could work as movies.
If Sin City hadn't already been made, I could see a Max Payne movie having been done in the same style. They could have mixed together the stories from both games. Imagine Rodriguez directing, but with John Woo doing the action sequences. Would have been great to see the trademark humor from the games brought in too.
Psychonauts. I'm thinking Pixar movie
Final Fantasy-Imagine Peter Jackson taking one of the better entries in the series, probably one that is totally medieval without the modern elements(like FF6/3)and doing a trilogy based on it. Spoilers for FF3(6 in Japan)
The World of Balance and World of Ruin could be two seperate movies right there. They'd have to trim down the cast a bit though and probably leave out or change some of the more exaggerated stuff(this is Final Fantasy after all)
Prince of Persia. They'd have to flesh out the story a bit. Maybe condensing the whole trilogy's story. Carry over the game's gorgeous look into the movie, and find some stunt doubles who could actually pull off the Prince's acrobatic feats of lunacy(with maybe a little help from special effects or CGI). It would be a sort of artsy action-adventure movie. The incredible stunt work plus the movie's beautiful, fairy tale like look would make the movie stand out. Then get a notable director behind it so people would actually come to see it.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic-Would easily make a great Star Wars movie. As long as you keep George Lucas as far away from it as possible.
This may sound a little crazy, but I could see Guillermo del Toro making a good Devil May Cry movie. Not too far off from Hellboy territory.

I think he meant the games called "D"...
I'm not sure what games I'd like to see as a movie. The stories of most games don't really come off as being that movie worthy in my book, hence why they generally suck pahootee. But meh, a lot of movies I see come out aren't really movie worthy.
but I still love and watch em'

My pick, hmmmm. Indego Prophecy. But that is kinda movie like anyway.
I was thinking the other day that I would like to see Vice city made into a movie. But kinda started as a movie ( Scar face)
Ok , Deus ex.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

I want to see SUPER SMASH BROS. the movie. All the Nintendo characters (plus Sonic and Solid Snake) are thrown together in some sort of ridiculous situation where they end up beating the tar out of each other, then they have to join forces to stop something else.
