Actually, I think people should start off as Next-gen and go all the way back to 8-bit.

The really hardcore could be Pong machines.

This I agree with. It should be backwards. I actually tried to limit my posts to stay 16-bit (my fav generation) but that didn't happen.
Or perhaps once you've made it to a certain post count, make it available from the User Control Panel. I don't need/want a custom one (okay, I'd love a custom one but I'm not gonna beg) but, being able to choose there would be neat. :)

This is actually more like what I really want. I want to be 16-bit as well (or even better 90s gamer, since I do love the N64/PSone generation as well :P)
