Valkyria Chronicles 4 [Or maybe 3 will get bumped up to an early NGP release]
No no no no NO (desperate nos). Leave VC alooone. It belongs on the PS3, with the beautiful canvas engine, and the amazing shaders, and the amazing graphics. Cry.....
Then again I did buy a PSP for 2 games (LBP portable and VC2), but after being disappointed like hell with LBP portable, I sold my PSP. Perhaps I should have waited to check out VC2 as well.
And don't worry lisalover. We'll get our Vesperia. One way or another (fan patch)

Yes and no. I've only played 1 game in the series and loved it (Tales of Symphonia). I tried to get more into the series, but Namco refuses to translate any of the Tales games on the consoles I own (Wii,PS3), so even though I want to, they won't let me .

Glanced over at my complete Tales of Destiny for ps1
okay so I was glancing at maxconsole, and here's two pieces of info that make me even less interested in the PSP2:
Confirmed: NGP will NOT have video output feature
and
apparently it will use new proprietary memory cards called NVG Cards -- so you won't be using nice easily attainable Memory Sticks or SD cards (like the ones you already own).

I guess Sony realized that Memory Sticks had gotten decently easy to obtain, so now they made yet another non-SD memory storage.

Thanks, Sony. I almost considered maybe buying the PSP2 for a second there, but you helped prevent me from going off track. My boycott remains strong, thanks to your continual bullshit.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet but Sony won't let us replace the PSP2 battery either. That alone is reason enough not to buy one. The PSP2 will stop being portable 5-10 years from now, when the battery completely dies, forcing consumers to purchase the PSP3 if they want to do portable gaming. Sony is always coming up with ways to kill the used game market; it's almost impressive. They have managed to kill off the PSP2 even before it comes out, at least for me. That's rather amazing.

Between the new proprietary memory cards and not being able to purchase a replacement battery, Sony has pretty much just sold me on a 3DS....

Proprietary cards? Oh noes! I am so glad other game manufacturers don't do that!
I guess I don't see these as valid reasons not to buy a portable game console...
no I don't think they're valid reasons to not buy one. But they are valid reasons for me to continue my tradition of waiting a while into the console's life before I consider buying it. Although as previously stated, for me the big pisser is the lack of UMD drive. I really don't want to see UMD's go away.
