Finally got this game yesterday but had to work. I'm gonna give it a blast today at some point.

Hope you enjoy it, given the hassle it was for you to get it

Sigh, you know I really wish those designers had some concept of what a checkpoint is. God, this game is really rough around the edges

EDIT:God, chapter 5 is pure shit. Losing my enthusiasm now

Meh, this one's a dissapointment

The story has gotten rather boring and predictable. It's getting so damn cliche now and I really don't like Tripp as a character either. She embodies every negative female stereotype. There is even a point in the game where she gets behind the wheel of a vehicle and loses control of the damn thing, nearly getting you killed in the process. First sign of trouble and she freaks out and loses her composure. She's one big fraidy cat. She's like the polar opposite of strong female characters like Samus Aran, Bastilla from Knights of the Old Republic, Jade from Beyond Good and Evil and Lara Croft. She's just this whimpy, whiny little thing who occasionally acts recklessly or stupidly(chapter 7 comes to mind). Her bossy attitude is tiresome as well. I'm sick and tired of hearning, "hurry up" or "let's go" whenever I try and explore an area for some orbs or items. I'm on chapter 8 now I believe and she has shown ZERO redeeming qualities as a character so far

Combat is bland and boring and the designers seemed unaware of this considering how much of it they throw at you in Chapter 7 onward. Chapter 7 sucks by the way. It's extremely repetitive. Kill some mechs, listen to Tripp whine, kill some mechs, listen to Tripp whine, kill some mechs, listen to Tripp whine, kill some mechs, listen to Tripp whine, kill some mechs, listen to Tripp whine...and the level just drags on and on like this until you want to shove a pen in your eye. They put ZERO thought into that level and it shows

Platforming sucks. There's no freedom to it. You always have to jump where they want you to jump. You rarely have to figure out where to jump to next and there's practically no skill involved since once Monkey's feet leave the ground the game takes over and he ALWAYS clears the jump successfully. The last Prince of Persia game(the one with Elika in it)actually required more skill to its platforming. THAT should tell you something

This development team really has a ways to go. After this and Heavely Sword I'm not that impressed by them. They are going to absolutely RUIN the Devil May Cry series

It's a pity you ended up not liking it. I didn't even need to force myself to overlook the bad things because the good ones were so impressive.

Still in my top 10 of 2010.

I actually got it for christmas, but due to my backlog, I haven't opened it yet. (And if you need any more reason to tear me apart, I haven't opened Kirby's Epic Yarn or PokePark yet)

I do want to play it though.

I just played the demo and I really liked it. The platforming was a bit weird at least the movements but I will most definitely buy this game.

I enjoyed it overall despite the gameplay being very basic. The story and the characters are what I really enjoyed about this game and the graphics looked good too. 8)
