Not to me though, while the game could have used numerous improvements, I still feel it has one of the best stories for a video game and should be played by everybody. I consider it my 3rd favorite xbox game and an easy contender for a top 25 list.
People hated this? I see it dropped all the time when people are talking about lesser known xbox titles.

While they did give the game a 7.6, the reviewer makes the game seem like a 4 since he is constantly pointing out how much it sucks. A lot of people share these sentiments about the game though.
I greatly enjoyed Shadow the Hedgehog; I have A-ranked every mission, and got the final ending. I don't understand all the hate around it; I have a blast every time I play it.
One should probably be sitting on a toilet when they read this, because a lot of people are probably about to shit a gold brick, but...
...believe it or not, I actually like Batman Forever. I was already used to Mortal Kombat and WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game, so it didn't take a whole lot of getting used to for me. Once you get the hang of it, it's really not that bad.

Is this one of those games that gets a much worse rep than it deserves cause of the AVGN? (I know it's not the AVGN's fault, he's just doing an act, it's the fanbase's fault for taking his reviews seriously)

For me probablly Mad World it was the sole reason apart from No More Heroes i got my wii. Everyone i showed it to complained it would be better in color and apparently couldnt see shit during gameplay. Then again No More Heroes is also a hit and miss with people but all of my friends love it to bits since i showed them.
*edit* actually now that i think about it God Hand i absolutly love God Hand and is considered by some a horrible game and IGN gave it like 3 out of 10 i think.
Im probably gonna go with Wild 9 for PSX, a lot of people didn't like the game but I got one of the demo discs with Wild 9 on it and I was instantly hooked.
