Viewtiful Joe is probably the closest we'll get to a sequel to that game.

The second entry in the series is my favorite game on the genesis, but the thought of how a current reboot would be screwed up terrifies me. I think this situation is best to leave sleeping dogs where they lay.
After playing Sonic 4...yeah, let's just leave Streets of Rage alone.

I've never heard of a single one of those games. Are they Japan exclusive or something?

I didn't see that one. Yeah, I've heard of it. Don't have any idea what it is, other than that it involves Japanese guys with swords.

YES

Shenmue 3 is the flagship title for this thread.

Followed by Xexyz 2. :D

I made up the name "Herzog Drei" as it would be the title of the sequel to the first ever RTS game, Herzog Zwei which was released in the U.S on the Genesis. Since "Zwei" means "two" in German, I put "Drei" as it means "Three". The first Herzog game was for the MSX.

Battle Gear 4 is an arcade racing game. They made Battle Gear 2 and 3 for PS2, but never released Battle Gear 4. I am hoping it gets a PS3 or 360 release.

Auto Modellista is a racing game which was released in the U.S. on PS2, original XBOX and GameCube. I am just hoping Capcom will make a sequel.

Ibara is a shmup created by those who made Battle Garegga, Ibara 2 called "Pink Sweets" was released in arcades a couple years ago and it's getting an XBOX 360 release (in Japan only) next month. I just hope they make an Ibara 3.
My review of Ibara 1 here:

Yoshinoya is a simulation/puzzle/rhythm game for PS2 based on a real-world fast food chain of the same name. I really like the game and hope they will release a sequel to it.

Are you serious?

Have you not even heard of Herzog Zwei on the Genesis/Mega Drive?
Onimusha you know.
Auto Modellista is a cell shaded Capcom racer on the PS2 that came out when the cell shading fad was just starting out.

NONE of these are Japan exclusive.
These ones below are.

Battle Gear is a Japanese arcade-style racer that takes place in Japanese locations. I think the second one made it to Europe, but other than that it is exclusive to Japan.
Ibara is a shoot 'em up series. Only in Japan.
Yoshinoya is a fast food restaurant chain that originated in Japan. It DOES exist in America, but I'm guessing only in a few major cities. There is a DS game, I think, based on running a Yoshinoya restaurant. I have no idea how it plays. Hashiriya knows.

Edit: Crap, Hashiriya beat me to it!
