Retro Game Stores in Bangkok

Post by molotovwars »

Hey just thought I'd see if anyone knew if there were any shops in Bangkok for retro gaming. Anyone want to share their experiences? Is it worth going?

I am going to catch a flight back to Bangkok from Phuket, and depending on if its worth it, I might allot enough time to drop by a game store or two.

Any help would be appreciated. I would be in Bangkok on Sunday if it makes a difference. Thanks!

Even if you don't find anything you should still pick up some goofy bootlegs which can be had at any open market.

The only retro store I came across in my short stay at Bangkok was O-Corner at MBK(Mah Boon Krong).

Address:
444 MBK Center 6th Floor, Paco Zone
No.R44, R45 Phayathai Rd.,
Pathumwan, Bangkok 10330 Thailand.
Tel./Fax: 02-6114880

Didn't manage to browse there long as had family in tow and my pockets were empty :( , but the small shop has a small representation of PS1-2, MD, SS, DC, N64, oXbox(thereabout a shelf each). Think there were FC carts just outside the shop. Even PC-FX if I'm not wrong. Saw some rare stuffs like Under Defeat (DC). But things are on the pricey side, and might even be cheaper on ebay. Still, it's pretty cool place to checkout.

A link that might help you out and some pictures of the shop I found online.
