Josh wrote:I mostly am the same way. I'm not completely OCD in that I soft reset Pokemon games nearly 3000+ times to get shinies of every Pokemon. (and I do know people that do this, which takes the fun out of it completely) However in most Mario games I tend to save often and do many No-Death runs because of it. A lot of the time in RPG games I tend to grind, and usually in many games I aim for either 100% completion or some really unneeded task. And even worse, in games like Fallout 3, I think I've started around 10 different datas among many memory cards and hard drives, just to see every dialogue option. Does it effect gameplay? In many cases, not really, even though it's not really rewarding in the achievements, it still feels good to do something, and do it right and completely.

When it comes to the games in general, I tend to, late at night when bored and not tired, go through my collection and organize them in some way, shape, or form. Whether it's true OCD or not remains to be seen. I guess it depends on who you talk to.
OCD vs Video Games. Almost a year ago actually.
Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

the person who posted after me (also his first post) became one of my good friends here a year later. how cool is that. 8)

alienjesus wrote:Hi, i recently bought a Virtual Boy. It was imported from the US, and i live in the UK.

it came with 2 controllers (unnecessary i know) but neither came with a battery pack. It also came with an adapter (US) but not adapter tap.

so, after searching for a battery pack, and seeing the crazy prices on those, i managed to find an adapter tap...only its japanese.

will that work with my US virtual boy and adapter?

Finally, will i need to buy a current converty thingmy (technical name) to plug the virtual boy into my UK plug sockets due to the electric system differences?
No one ever told me if the japanese adapter tap would work, but luckily I got lucky on ebay and a guy sold me an adapter tap and threw in a free plug which would work with the virtual boy in a UK power socket (it had a step down converter built in). What a nice eBay seller that guy was!

Also, I assume this was my first post, it's actually made about half a month after I joined.

I've been a lurker here for a while, but I've decided to create an account and try to become an active member in the community. Today I picked up two Gamecubes, one Gamecube controller, an N64, four N64 controllers (w/joysticks in perfect condition!), two Gamecube memory cards, a Spongebob Gamecub...

I know you said you tried all the dip switch settings. For the X3 I think on the actual chip there is an on/off switch.

When you boot up your xbox does the flash screen have the team xecutor logo under it?
I don't even remember how to mod the original anymore...

My first post was where it should be in the "New Members: Introduce Yourself!" thread
Hello!
I have been hanging around for a while and wanted to join the game club, so I thought I would introduce myself.
I am an avid comic book reader, reviewer, and have my own webcomic at: http://www.spacebooger.com. I am also an avid video game player: I have all the sega's except the master system, nes, snes, n64, x-box, PS1 & @, GBASP... and emulate others.
I look forward to being part of the racketboy community.
My second post was more relevant in regards to the "Retro Gaming Club: Random or Semi-Chronological?" thread.
I would go with a couple games from the same genre, or system in a row so that better comparisons can be made.
