I want to buy a 3DS, but I don't want to sell anything

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

There was an article in the Boston Globe recently how you never see kids asking to shovel your driveways/walkways of snow anymore.
Several weeks ago a young man rang my doorbell at 7pm, well after dark, looking to shovel 2 inches of snow from my 25 foot long driveway... for TEN FREAKING DOLLARS! And he had an attitude about it and replied "C'mon man, I need the money!" when I politely said "No thanks." Damn kids nowadays, expecting $10 for 15 or 20 minutes of light work. And the kicker is, that night we got two feet of snow, so anyone who paid that punk $10 the night before was SOL.

And to stay on topic, the 3DS seems more gimmicky every time I think about it, especially after seeing the new PSP2.

Pfft, I don't know where the writer of that article lives, but where I live no one's going to pay a teenager to mow their lawn because they'd probably do it themselves. Hell, when I lived in the city you wouldn't be able to mow anyone's lawn cause they'd assume you'd vandalize their home afterward.

Personally, I wouldn't pay any kid because I'm particular about my lawn but I would definitely do so if I was on vacation instead of using a lawn service. A lawn service would charge me $35 so I would come out ahead if a kid would do it for $20.

There's a kid in my neighborhood who cuts my neighbor's grass and at least one other house. To some people, time is more valuable than money. There are times that I feel the same way.

A kid just has to ask. Worse case, the person says no. Just keep asking other people.

Not to rub salt in the wound, but we HAVE known the 3DS was on its way since late 2010. Oh well, maybe you'll be ready next time.
