Just get yourself a GP2X system! You can have 1000's of games on one memory card. It probably will be more cost effective and portable than any other solution. It can play the these systems perfectly:

NES
SNES
Genesis
Master System
GB, GBA
MAME
CPS2

Cool, didn't know about that one. Looks a lot more solid than the Dingoo.

Ok, so how exactly does this thing work? I just looked up the GP2X on ebay and I'm clueless and they're a little pricey. :? It doesn't come with the games right? Sorry, I'm still learning with these types of things.
I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I picked up a Retro Mini system from Game Trader over the summer. It's a nifty system that plays NES games. It's the one that Irate N00b reviewed awhile ago. It's pretty neat, aside from the screen being small, confusion between start and select buttons, and the placement of the restart button. It's a nice package to own for NES fans.

I have a FC Mobile II and a FC 16 Go. I love them both.

Basically it's a portable emulator. You need to download the emulators and roms for it. There should be a forum dedicated to it somewhere that can help you out.

Personally I think it's cooler to play the real cartridges even if the clones are just emulators themselves.

The FC Mobile II screen of 2.5 inches seems kind of rough. Plus - do the carts shake around and lose connection?

If you have a problem with loose carts in your portable systems, you can use velcro to make the slot a bit tighter. I did that for two of my portables and it solved the problem perfectly.

Thought I'd update the thread a bit and mention Hyperkin's Supaboy (which looks freaking awesome). Classic Game Room got some great footage of it in action a couple months ago. Word is this thing is supposed to come out sometime this month :D
