Right. Completely different thing altogether. CDs cost fuck all to produce. We're talking pennies per disc. Cartridges cost more to produce. That's a fact. How have they screwed over their customers when that's all they have had since the beginning If you didn't like it, then you didn't buy it. Simple as. What are people that don't buy their products? They're definitely not called customers that's for certain.
My argument still applies. If you didn't like it, don't buy it. Nobody forced anybody to buy Nintendo's products. Who cares what format they produce games in, Nintendo chose cartridges due to the benefits (better safeguard against piracy, in built save functionality, no load times, more durability) and inevitably they paid the price in low sales. Doesn't matter though, because they made money on every single console sold from day one so they still made a profit.
They still screwed me over. I used Linux, a lot. I used it for emulation on my TV where it wasn't practical to have a PC hooked up to it. Sony removed a feature I factored in when I purchased the damn machine. Just because it was a niche feature and not everybody used it doesn't mean it wasn't valuable. You don't understand my point. MS bans consoles for modding because it's against their TOS. I'm fully aware that Sony can ban my PS3 from PSN should I access it. I don't though, because cheating is rife on that system even before CFW and jailbreak came about. Again, you mis-read my argument, Microsoft charges for Xbox Live, I know that. However, if you don't like it, you don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to pay for it. If paying for online access troubles you, then you look for an alternative and deal with the drawbacks of that particular system. They all have them.EvilRyu2099 wrote:There you go hating as usual.. It seems like 80% of your posts spew crap on how this or that sucks.. Get over it, Xbox had no choice but to not charge for repair because their consoles were failing at more than a 400% rate of the others.. And you seem to be anal about the remove OS, yes it sucks but get over it.. MS bans consoles for any type of modding, along with charging for online multiplayer like an MMO.. Nintendo has limited HDD space and charges fairly high for old emulated ports of classic games..Fucking over customers means that they have done shitty things to you since becoming a customer. IE when Sony removed Linux from your PS3 system. When your system breaks they charge you an extortionate amount to have it fixed when their competitors do it for free up to three years after you bought it for the same issues. Removing support for third party controllers for no reason what-so-ever. That's fucking your customers over. Having codes for online? That's a minor irritation at best, and like I said; If you don't like it, then don't use them. It's not like they implemented a system similar to XBL/PSN and then decided to remove it in favour of game codes. It was there from the start.
"Nintendo has limited HDD space" again, what's your point? "charges fairly high for old emulated ports of classic games" again, don't like it, don't be a customer.
I have a vendetta against Sony because they screwed me over. In my own little way, my little protest, even if it changes one person's mind about being a Sony customer it's worth it. It means that not only have they lost my business for life, but they've also lost another. Thanks to the removal of OtherOS they've most likely lost plenty more as well. That's Sony's problem, they burned their bridges, pissed off the hackers and they're getting butt-fucked for it. About time I say. Maybe they will learn and become a better company to their customers.EvilRyu2099 wrote:I have no vendetta against you.. BUt sure you seem to have one against Sony.. And I loved how you were already ripping GT5 in that thread even though you never played it prior to posting in that thread.. It was also pretty clear you trolled later on in said thread..If you're going to pick an argument with me, at least come up with an actual argument. Seriously don't know why you seem to have this vendetta against me. Is it because I called your precious GT5 a piece of shit?
Regarding GT5, I have played it. The graphics are awful (and no, photo-mode doesn't count), the menu system is slow & clunky and it's the same damn game we've had since GT3 (come on, even the damn progression is the same). I'm just glad I rented that piece of crap, it is a massive disappointment. I honestly wanted it to be great. As said in my posts in the GT5 thread (go ahead you can check 'em if you want) I seriously hoped that it was going to be the holy grail system seller that the PS3 needed. It isn't. Far from it. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
