Losing backward compatibility with all my UMD-based games is a bummer, but the system sounds great. I suppose we can assume all support for the PSP to stop the instant the PSP2 hits the market. I can't imagine they will carry the PSP along like they did the PS2 once the successor arrives.

Video cap of gameplay trailer. A lot more than just the big franchises - some cool looking stuff:

I really don't see them doing this. They have already removed the backwards compatibility options from the newest Ps3 models, and they never mentioned doing anything like that for the PGPgo.

At least they finally gave us a second analogue stick. I'm actually interested to see how this thing turns out, it may be enough to finally make me buy a portable sony device for the first time.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Well, I am not gonna get either the 3DS or PSP2 right away no matter what (lack of money to spend on new stuff, waiting for price drops and or newer models) but it looks nice enough that I would like to pick one up at some point. I could be a little bitch about the lack of a UMD drive, but hey that's what I spent 200 bucks on my PSP for! I'll just use that. I imagine that it would be backwards comptabitle with the PSP games already on the network so yeah.

Same here; I really want to play some of the games on the handheld but has never really justified the price of one for only like 5 games.
