I've been looking for a price-guide for PAL games for a long time now and I am aware of videogamepricecharts.com, but AFAIK that's only for NTSC/US games(?)
anyone have any hunch about where to find the PAL prices?

Re: PAL Video Game Prices
Wasn't there someone here last month that was advertising their PAL pricing/rarity website?

Someone needs to make videogamepricecharts.co.uk.

I fail to see where the rarity and price guide comes into this? I've looked on the website and I cannot find any information relating to the rarity or prices of any of the games I searched for...

Re: PAL Video Game Prices
thanks for the effort, but anyone trying to convince me that A Link to the Past and Chu-Chu Rocket are equally rare (Chu-Chu Rocket costs about 2€ in Sweden, whereas LttP cost about 50) has the wrong information
not to mention Donkey Kong Country supposedly as rare
and they hardly have any games available (at least not the ones considered even the slightest "rare")
I realize that it must be a brand-new site, but they need to get their info straightened out before I even consider using them as a guide
once again, however, thanks for the effort

The rarity values are on a selection of systems while the rest are being updated daily. The Super Nintendo rarity guide features many rarity values on almost all the games.Niode wrote:I fail to see where the rarity and price guide comes into this? However we do not provide price values for games. From a collectors point of view, eBay does a good enough job via completed listings as to what each game is currently selling for.
This problem has become apparent in other online price guides now (not including videogamepricecharts.com due it's fantastic dynamic system). Individual games such as Magical Chase featuring a static price tag (on Digital Press), haven't been updated in years leaving a poor representation of what a game is really worth.
After all, true collectors shouldn't be using prices set by others to decide on their purchases. If you want a game, you need to decide from your own budget, how much you want it and cross reference that with completed listings to make your bids/purchases.
And that's why RetroCollect (currently) does not feature price tags in our database. We would much rather focus on the newly added collection tracking feature and the other more important updates that are heading in the near future.
