A Member of the Fantastic Four is Dead ***SPOILERS***

Post by BurningDoom »

That's right, a member of the Fantastic Four is dead. A character that kicked off Marvel's legendary Silver Age, is now dead. And the current creative team promises us that this death will have meaning and will stay dead as long as they are behind the book.

The issue is on stands now, and comes in a black-bagged edition, much like The Death of Superman issue in the 90s.

Is there a story arc leading into this issue, I'm curious to read the event.

Meh, Marvel says a lot of things. Hell, there's talk that even Uncle Ben's coming back. I'll believe it when he's still dead a decade from now.

That said, who is replacing him on the team?

Probably a long-forgotten illegitimate son with the same powers, but a more cutting-edge attitude. ..And a different hair-style.

Oh wait - this isn't a DC comic...

My bet is on the original Human Torch, or Toro all grown-up. Both of which are active again.

If there's something that I wouldn't trust comics with is continuity.

Yeah right. Has anyone ever actually stayed dead?

Ted Kord. And that is a shame because he is the one guy I would be okay with them resurrecting.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I think this sums up my thoughts:

Also, Flake was that guy a sidekick? Cause sidekicks are the only ones allowed to die.
