So it looks like my only option is to buy a flashcart. Now what flashcart it the best for playing on GBA/GBPlayer? As I said before, I don't wanna go through any flashcart menus, I just want it to load up the game as if it was a official GBA game. Speaking of which, is there any way I can stick a Mother 3 label on it, and remove the see-through cart-shell as I've seen on alot of flashcards and replace it with normal GBA cart-shell? And how much would all this cost?

...Yes I'm picky. :P

If space in a GBA case is an issue, wouldn't it be feasible to use a donor GB/GBC case? I think the width of the boards is similar and the GB cart has a lot more real estate inside.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

there's a bit of rumbling over at the Nintendo Age boards of a possible red cartridge-only repro being produced...

If this actually materializes I'd be totally on board.

Cool. I took a look at that thread...
I'm thinking about making it, yes, but I don't know if it's cost effective. After lunar year festival in china I can get a price estimate. It would be cart only. Quantity would be large. Quite a risk to take really.
I can vouch that it IS quite a risk to take. I would agree that $40 a pop for cart only is a fair price. If that does turn out to be the price, you're lucky it's not more.

No flash cart, make your own cart is what would need to happen. Then soldering flat ROM's on a board? Nope, good luck. It'd be ALOT cheaper to buy a flash cart, then you also have other games you want to on the same cart.

What about a EZFlash 3in1 expansion (GBA sized variant)? It's only compatible with 1 GBA game at a time so there's no menu. From what I read if you load the rom on in a DS all you'd need to do is print out a label. I don't have one to verify this, but from what I understand it should do exactly what you want.
