This indie comedy hack and slash drops tomorrow. Who else is interested?
From what I have read, this is going to be like Gauntlet but with more emphasis on combo attacks and a heavy bend on humor. From people who have played it, it is a top tier game at a $10 price point.
Trailer
And yes, accidental team killing is expected:

Re: Magicka
Ooo. I know it's a long shot but, Mac-port? If not, never mind I'll just have to switch to my Windows partition. This looks really cool. I'll definitely buy this if a few of us are going to play it together.fastbilly1 wrote:This indie comedy hack and slash drops tomorrow. Who else is interested?

It's being sold on Steam. Chances are it will have SteamPlay if a Mac version ever comes out.Niode wrote:Ooo. I know it's a long shot but, Mac-port?
Re: Magicka
I lost it with the line of dialogue they chose to display on the trailer: "I love this place... I can even see my house!"
Re: Magicka
Is it being sold anywhere else? I don't use Steam.

I think you would be better off signing up for a Steam account since I have no idea about the DRM and what not in those versions. Plus you get some nice extras in Steam, not to mention the fact that you're only restricted to Steam's barely existent DRM (install/download it as many times as you'd like, play it on any machine you are willing to sign in on once, offline mode etc) the voice chat/group chat integration, the steam achievements.
I've already bought this on my Steam account. Can't wait to play it. It looks like a blast with friends.

Re: Magicka
It's being released on XBLA also.
Re: Magicka
Is it? I heard that the devs had no plans to release it on PSN/XBLA for the time being...jfrost wrote:It's being released on XBLA also.

I read it on Wikipedia, might not be up to date.Niode wrote:Is it? I heard that the devs had no plans to release it on PSN/XBLA for the time being...jfrost wrote:It's being released on XBLA also.
Edit: You're right, only the PC version is listed on the official website.

Re: Magicka
Prepurchased - Cant wait to give it a go tonight. Three of my buddies bought it aswell so we are going to try and make a fourplayer game happen.
Kinda concerned with the words from those who played the demo. They said magic is qwer asdf, which is fine, so is using left ctrl and space bar. What concerns me is the left, right, middle, clicks of the mouse. Middle click is usually a bad idea. Word is that you can remap everything so hopefully that helps. I also hope it plays well on a pad/stick - I would love to be able and play it four player on one box.
