What YouTube Shows/Channels Do You Follow?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What YouTube Shows/Channels Do You Follow?

Post by BurningDoom »

Anyone else follow YouTube shows/channels? It doesn't replace real TV by any means, but it's a nice supplement.

Some stuff I follow:

-The Angry Video Game Nerd - If your a gamer, then you already know all about this foul-mouthed, high-tempered, Rolling Rock drinking character, game reviewer.

-The Irate Gamer - Everyone loves to hate this guy, he's the AVGN wannabe, blah, blah, blah. I don't care about the war between the two of them. I just like to be entertained, and IG entertains me. Admittedly, it's similar to AVGN, yes, but why is that bad? And there's not poop and fart jokes as much as AVGN.

-Classic Game Room HD - Updated almost everyday with a new video game review. Mark Bussler has his off days at times, admitted, can't get em all right when it's everyday. But most of the time his reviews are fun to watch, and his sarcastic sense of humor is entertaining.

-G4 Icons - This was the best show ever made on the history of the gaming industry, and unfortunately scouring YouTube is the only way to watch it anymore.

-Grindhouse Horror Trailers - I love watching these old, weird, horror trailers.

-TNA Impact Post-Show (when they decide to do it, anymore) - When TNA decides to do this show anymore, it was a great "closer-look" at TNA Impact and TNA in general. Kind of like the post-shows after a sports game, but for TNA.

-Last Call With Scott Hall (Bring back the show Hall & Zybysko!) - This was a great, REAL, behind the scenes look at the life of Scott Hall, wrestler, and often his best friends including the Living Legend Larry Zybysko. Very funny. Although the channel hasn't been updated in some time.

Nathan Barnatt's and Ray Amsley's channels and Classic Game Room HD (especially love console and controller reviews). I don't have a lot of time for YouTube but I usually have time before work to watch new videos.

Im sure we had this thread before.

Either way, I'm seconding HappyConsoleGamer, and throwing out Happy Video Game Nerd and Spida1a. Happy Game Nerd is an obvious parody, but he does good reviews of lesser known classics and has sort of grown out of the parody role he started as. Spida1a has a great series of Turbografx reviews, and some pinball machine videos too, if that floats your boat.

Also recommending Garudoh's channel for wonderful compilations of songs from game soundtracks (including games who's soundtracks I'm sure you've never really paid much attention before) and MetalDaniel03, for some pretty awesome metal remixes of video game themes. Check out Bloody Tears or 600AD (Wind Theme).

I don't actually "follow" this, but I like to watch Weird Al's stuff when he posts something new.
