My iMac has two 512 of SD Ram cards, total of 1gb . The embarrassing funny part is that number is higher then its 500MHz G3 chip. Ah well, still love this old CRT Retro, running both OS9 and OSX.
EDIT
Just installed Virtual PC and now my G3 iMac has three operating systems!
1. OS9
2. OSX
3. WIN XP
Okay I might get crazy and install WIN98SE and DOS 6.22!

Actually, you don't want too much RAM if you're running Windows 95 or 98. I don't know what the magic number is, because back when I was actually running Win 95 and 98 I probably had something like 64-128MB of RAM. But yeah, too much RAM will have a negative effect on these OS.
Speaking of too much ram i tried last summer to set up a windows 98 installation and i learned that during installation you can't have more than 512mb. If you do you get a too little memory error.
So in order for me to use 1gb of ram i had to finish the installation with 512 and then apply a patch or edit the correct ini and then i could use 1gb.
And i also found out windows 98 has a surprisingly big support by users. There are unofficial service packs, skinning tools for the desktop and an app that lets you update win98 with a lot of features of winMe without actually installing me.

Oh you're right, I remember that. There's also a hard uptime limit on Win 95 too, lol. I was actually thinking of pulling that machine out for some early Windows gaming, I'll keep that in mind.
Those early windows games are a bitch to run on modern PCs. 9x is barely supported by modern windows, nobody's written an emulator yet, Wine is hit and miss, even VirtualBox doesn't exactly run 9x well.
We are prepared to live in the plain and die in the plain!

Even more surprisingly, Windows 3.1 has a lot of support. The funniest thing I heard regarding this was the ability to burn DVDs.

I heard that about 3.11 from the B/S/T section of all places. I haven't heard of this Win98 stability though. (Did someone actually fix USB Plug-n-Play for flash drives?)
I'm mostly using WinXP for Tablets; I've got a copy of Puppy and DamnSmall Linux for all those times I need to recover something.
My scheduling skills have died of dysentery; I hope to visit at least on a monthly basis. Still, don't forget to tip your waitress.
I'm running Win 7 64bit (Home Premium) and love it; it was love at first boot. I've started loving it even more by switching the theme to Windows Classic. Maybe it is just the retro love but it just seems so much cooler now.
I've thought about dual booting with Ubuntu but just haven't yet.
