Still going strong with Ubuntu. I only boot into Windows when absolutely necessary; ubuntu is just so much faster, usable, and doesn't drive my laptop's fan into overdrive whenever I start up an application.

I'm using XP pro for the most daily things but I have Windows 7 on a seperate drive when XP pro gets really too old and everything stops supporting it.
Windows 7 is fine but some programs still work best on Windows XP so I save myself a big headache and waiting for updates and just stick to what works best for my needs right now and worry about the future later :D

I dual booted my MacBook Pro with Windows XP. I think it's SP3, but I got it from the Pirate Bay. It works good enough as a pirated version should. Hasn't given me any trouble aside from normal Windows stuff like blue screens and freezes when you try and make it do stuff when it isn't ready or too much it kinda goes WAHHHH and freezes up. It's cool though, I remember XP like that so I don't mind it too much. Games and emulators I throw at work pretty well, so I am happy enough.

Blue screens / freezes I run XP and I never get that must be your hardware misconfigured.

I have never once gotten a blue screen in XP, or had it freeze. And I've used XP for many years on many different computers. And that's including a computer with a 397Mhz CPU and something like 384MB of RAM!

That's a lot of RAM for that CPU

Might have been 320MB, I could never remember. But yeah, that computer was sweeeeeeeet  The 20GB hard drive was huge! And I can't believe I ran XP on it for so many years.

There's no such thing as too much RAM. I've got a P200 with 512, never tried XP on that heh. But it ran linux with icewm and phoenix (heh) pretty well 10 years ago.
