It is an "Insider's Guide to the Powerfest", which was handed out at the 1990 Powerfest competitions leading up to the Nintendo World Championships! The guide highlights the competition, gives advice on how to play well on the NWC cartridge, and upcoming games from big name game studios.
Anyway, I end up simply asking for it and receiving it along with the games I was buying. I cant find an example of one that has ever been up for sale on its own so I am curious what the value may be. I am thinking $25-$50 considering it is in mint condition.
I found a Commodore 64 CIB with a 1541 Disk Drive (also CIB) for $20. I have never owned one of these I bought it only because I have 1702 monitor. Now I have a working C64 computer with really no clue what to do with it. I am interested in composing some music with it as I find the SID chip kinda awesome. Also found a cart only copy Mario Kart 64 for $4.

Hmm... according to this blog post from our very own Barry the Nomad, the JSRF figure is worth between $250 to $400! Dinged up box or not, seems like I found some rare stuff!

Nice finds on the figures! Yeah, that Beat prototype is quite rare. Definitely don't open that sucker. I got the prices from averaging out three ebay auctions that I've come across for them. Not sure if they ever sell at that price, but I'll bet a big JSRF fan would pay $150 for it. I myself have two of the painted Beat figures, those usually go for between $30 and $40, though sometimes you find ones for $10 buy it now due to sellers who don't really know the value of them.
I found the Crazy Taxi 1 prototype figure for $5 on ebay today, which is how I came across this thread.

Dude, congratulations. You should look into the Cynthcart. I know there's ways to hook midi gear up to it too. There's lots of software (and hardware) for this, because everyone loves the SID chip.
It's also good for games! Hook the 1541 drive up to your pc with an x1541 type cable and you can copy all the games you want. If you like classic western RPGs, you could hardly do better.

My 12 y/o little sister was saving up for a Wii, and after checking Kijiji for a few days, I found her one the perfect deal just five minutes after it was first posted. Replied IMMEDIATELY and picked it up with her a few hours later. Total cost was $230 (I lent her a bit) for the following:

This was a couple months ago. I've since bought one game to play on it, Sin & Punishment 2, for $16 used, also Kijiji. Has a sticker for "$60" on the front, geez. Price has dropped since then but I feel $16 was a steal.
Recently missed out on something amazing. I want a gaming TV and was looking on Kijiji and in one listing it was a good size CRT, good looking, and oh, by the way, it comes with a CIB NEVER OPENED N64 FOR FREE. WHAT?! I was too late, the thing was gone already. Some lucky bastard got there first.

You can also do it a lot cheaper and easier with a MSSIAH cartrdge and a C64TPC box that emulates the floppy drive.

Thanks Fellas im gonna look into these things. I'd like to make some fat sounding bass lines and see what kind of crazy drum sounds I can come up with. I already hear some weird sounding snare sounds with heavy reverb in my head.
