I've been browsing Youtube for the last hour or so listening to battle music from RPGs, and I thought it would be cool to share a thread of your favorites. Here's one from Persona 3 [I'm pretty sure it is battle music; I haven't gotten very far in the game, yet]:

Everything by Uematsu. My personal favorite is the battle theme for when you fight Gilgamesh:

Final Fantasy IV's Boss Theme:
I also love the regular battle theme.
I always liked the Laguna battle theme from Final Fantasy VIII:
Maybe it's the contrast between this tune and the regular theme, but I don't know, you tell me.
Grandia's soundtrack is awesome all around, but this theme is really, really good:
Legend of Mana's Pain the Universe. Just amazing:

I've been listening to Battle Hymn of the Soul for pretty much the whole day now, and it is safe to say that it is the most mind-blowing boss theme I have ever heard. It starts out with a powerful metal intro, then cools of to rock for a little while. Then, the chorus starts, consisting of a kickass guitar solo, followed by the same solo on the bass. Finally, just when you thought it couldn't get any more awesome, a vocal track kicks in that ties it all together. Go listen to it RIGHT NOW.

All of Actraiser's boss music is just awesome! And I agree with Jfrost about FFIV's boss music. It does a great job getting you pumped for the battle ahead.
