I wish Sam Raimi would go back to horror again. Even Peter Jackson made some classics: Meet The Feebles, Bad Taste, and Dead Alive! Good stuff there.

Re: Horror Movies
I love the Evil Dead series regardless of a tree raping a girl. I just find that silly more than offensive. Some people just have stronger stomachs for this type of thing and I do not condone rape at all but I just don't take any offense to it in films. It would be different if it was real. However, those that are offended have every right to feel that way because some people can be disturbed by the idea even being implemented. I respect that.

I am addicted to video games, especially retro gaming from my era. I have: NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Gameboy, GBA, Wii, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360. I have probably over 1,000 games in total for all these systems combined. Yes, I need help and I wouldn't have it any other way! This is my passion and hey my wife still loves me!!

I wouldn't even call it a remake. More like just another movie that had the same name.noiseredux wrote:not the worst remake out there actually. But yr not missing much.Evildeadmanwalking77 wrote: 1986. I never caught the remake. Any good?

To be honest I think I tend to prefer "remakes" that are more or less just sequels-in-disguise y'know?

Well, they are in a forest with evil things. Evil things might rape someone. I don't know what people were all upset about. And besides, IT'S A FUCKING TREE!!!Evildeadmanwalking77 wrote:I love the Evil Dead series regardless of a tree raping a girl. I just find that silly more than offensive. Re: Horror Movies
I agree. Although I thought Friday the 13th's remake was done well. Too bad I can't say the same for Nightmare on Elm St. God, did they screw that up! I didn't think it was possible to fall asleep during a Nightmare on Elm St, it was so boring? At least I fell asleep, had a nightmare and saw the REAL Freddy! Texas Chainsaw Massacre was ok and as far as Halloween goes I thought it was good but I felt like Rob Zombie attempted to explain too much which takes away from the scare factor from Michael Myers. Definitely wasn't as scary/creepy as the original.noiseredux wrote:yeah sort of.Jimmy Yakapucci wrote: I wouldn't even call it a remake. More like just another movie that had the same name.

Re: Horror Movies
Friday The 13th remake I liked a lot. But I thought of it as a sequel. It seemed like it was just Jason doing his thing current-day. When they go knock on that lady's door she even references that killings have gone on for a long time. So it worked for me. I was happy. (It's my favorite series of all time anyway)Evildeadmanwalking77 wrote:I agree. Although I thought Friday the 13th's remake was done well. I like the first of Zombie's Halloween's mainly because it worked as a bit of a prequel. The 2nd I wasn't crazy about.
The others you mentioned... meh.

Well, people get offended when a tentacle monster rapes a woman. Makes sense that they'd get pissed about tress.Gamerforlife wrote: Well, they are in a forest with evil things. Evil things might rape someone. I don't know what people were all upset about. And besides, IT'S A FUCKING TREE!!!

How can that work? Jason was in space in the last one.noiseredux wrote:Friday The 13th remake I liked a lot. But I thought of it as a sequel.
