Must it really be Top X all the time? Anyway here's a random mix

Blade Runner - Windows. A good quality point-and-clicker based in the BR universe
The Thing - Multiplat.
Moonwalker - Megadrive. Not the greatest platformer but definitely a 16-bit milestone
Chronicles of Riddick - Multiplat
The Goonies - MSX

Not going to bother with the worst :?

Top 5

Peter Jackson's King Kong
X-Men Origins:Wolverine
The Lord of the Rings:Two Towers
The Lord of the Rings:Return of the King
Aladdin(both the SNES and Genesis versions)

Honorable Mention:Ghostbusters on the 360. The gameplay was pretty sloppy, yet I still enjoyed the ride. One of the few games I give a thumbs up to DESPITE poor gameplay. I just liked all the surprises in each stage, the dialogue, the amazing graphics and capturing ghosts is very fun. The whole thing really FELT like a true Ghostbusters movie and it''s cool that the whole thing was done from scratch to be like a NEW movie rather than being based off of the existing ones

Peter Jackson has much of my respect with his involvement in three of the games on my above list. How often is someone from Hollywood going to pick out someone like Michel Ancel to make his game? Seriously, that fucker has good taste

Worst 5:

E.T.
I don't really know what else, I generally avoid bad licensed games

Agreed. I debated adding the Lord of the Rings game in my 5 favorites as well. They were really well done. I decided to do kind of a multiplatform list instead though.

5 Best Movie-Based Games:
-Spider-Man: The Movie (PS2, XBox, Gamecube)
-Batman (NES)
-Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie (SNES, Genesis)
-Die Hard Trilogy (Saturn, PSX)
-007: Goldeneye (N64)

5 Worst Movie-Based Games:
-E.T. (Atari 2600, and yes I have actually played, I own it)
-Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game (Saturn)
-Friday the 13th (NES)
-Conan (NES)
-The Karate Kid (NES)

And I enjoyed Iron Man. I just don't get the hate for that game. You fly around and shoot things with lasers, missiles, and even a flame thrower; and then watch them blow up. What's not to love about that?

Best and worst movie based on a game

Post by mbl1031 »

There are quite a few movies based on video games out there. Which do yo think is the best and which do you think is the worst? To me, the best is The Resident Evil movies, the worst is that dumb ass Super Mario Brothers movie that had no resemblance to the game. I must also mention that even though its not based on a game, the Wizard with Fred Savage is pretty bad.

I assume you mean not bad meaning bad, but bad meaning good. Right?

I hate Super Mario Bros it just doesnt stay true to the movie.
For one its set in a desert and not a town,Koopa is a turtle,Daisy isnt in the game nor is Yoshi,Spike and Iggy arent even bosses you'd think theyd be at least more than a common enemy. And like where ever I go it always says "You're princess is in another castle" how should I have know I cant choose castle Im forced to go right the whole game.It did so bad that you can find any of these cartridges for $0.50 yeah it did that bad their practicly giving them away.I guess New Mexico was already filled up.

This is a terrible game.

I feel sorry for anyone who has completed this piece or garbage.

I'm surprised to see King Kong on some of those lists.
While at the time I was blown away by how it looked as a game I didn't like it to well.

Repetitive, restrictive, and glitchy (I fell through the floor multiple times at the end of the game when you're in the city.)

I am speaking of the 360 version, have not played the xbox version
