Retro Duo
there's a small set of pads by yhe graphics chip. one is common, the other 2 are +5v and ground. use desolder wick to remove the blob of solder thats already set it to 60hz then put in an SPDT toggle switch with the common pin wired to the middle pin of the switch.faxanadu wrote:wow thats alot of different versions lol.. whats the jumper pad thing you mentioned?

OK, the best test of the RetroDuo's audio would be to put in Kirby's Adventure. I know in the Generation NEX the audio was very problematic. If the RetroDuo gets it right, I might have to get one. Damn! ;)
Will it play FC games with an adapter? I wonder if the audio lines are connected so that it would use, say, the VRC6 chip used in the Japanese CVIII.

Hello,
i picked up a retro duo a few weeks back. regarding the controllers, they feel a bit stiff in the beginning ,but after playing FF6 for 15 hours they really loosened up and i actually like them alot. I picked up the White/blue one, and damn it looks awesome next to my wii and white ps3 import system. its glossier than my ps3 haha. If you really dont dig the controllers, you can just buy a 3rd party or original snes controller and swap the insides.

its so compact and sleek looking though, i have to admit.. i strongly suggest getting one of these if youre in the market to get any snes/nes clones.

Much thanks for the info! I seriously think I'm going to order one of these this week. I've got an original SNES Mini, but the pin set is bad and some of the games wobble and will reset or flicker because of it.faxanadu wrote:Hello,

I kind of stinks that it doesn't play Famicom games, but I'm going to try and build a home made adapter out of a Gyromite cart.
By the way, did you order yours offline?
