So here's the deal. I'm watching some new anime and I like the opening song. I want to buy the mp3 of the full song, with at least a 320 bit rate and no DRM/restrictions whatsoever.
But the problem is, I have no idea where I can buy such a thing. I live in the USA, so that might make it even harder. What ends up happening is, I might happen to randomly come across a torrent of the CD single rip, or I will spend some time to try to find it, anywhere I can.
I have two problems with this. One, I would like to give the music creators a little money for their song. Second, It is too time consuming and annoying to find these songs. It's not uncommon for me to never be able to find a song I like.
Is there some easy, fast and cheap way to get what I want, and also be able to give money to the artists?
I'm not familiar with itunes or amazon's music store, btw. Maybe they have what I want and I just don't know about it.
If someone could teach me about the best way to get music nowadays, that'd be great. I've never been a big music guy so I don't really know that much about it. On the rare occasion I hear a song that I like and want the full mp3, it's nothing but a hassle trying to get it.
Where can I find high quality DRM free Japanese music?

It may not be ideal or have all of the songs your looking for but purchasing a Japanese iTunes gift card gives you access to the Japanese iTunes Music Store. I've not used it myself but I've spoken to others who have and they were pretty pleased with it.

CD Japan is what you need to use, sir. It's great for finding cool Japanese music and you can typically get all the singles, etc or full OST's for reasonable prices most of the time.

I went to the site and tried to find the MP3 for this One Piece song "One Day", but all I could find was the physical CD. It costs over $22.
I want MP3s, not CDs. I don't want to spend more than $1 for one song.

Hmm, interesting. Good to know there is a way to buy songs from the Japanese store.Croooow! wrote:http://www.jlist.com/product/ITUNESCARD

Does itunes have DRM? Also, what is the quality of the song? Is it at least 320 bit rate?

Thanks for the torrent links but I am mainly trying to find a way to actually support the artists. Also, I don't like spending time searching torrent sites for a song, and then discovering it has no seeds or it's a low bit-rate.hashiriya1 wrote:These are some of the sites I get my J-stuff from:

Of course, if there is no way to get it legally, I will look for a torrent. Getting it for free is nice but honestly, I'd rather spend $1 and get it instantly, than spend 15 minutes trying to find an active, high quality torrent. Time is money.
I played through Space Channel 5 Part 2 a few years ago and wanted the OST so badly. I searched the internet like crazy for at least an hour and couldn't find it. The only thing I found was a used CD on ebay for $50+ dollars. No way I was gonna spend that much.
